Delta Community Credit Union supports financial literacy and education

Hundreds of young people in Gwinnett and Dekalb counties will benefit from the latest grant awarded from the Delta Community Credit Union Philanthropic Fund.

Recently at our Midtown Branch, Delta Community CEO Hank Halter presented a check for $3,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta (BCGMA) to support its College Bound Program in seven locations in Gwinnett and Dekalb counties.

College Bound is an educational leadership program designed to support high school students through college preparation, the application process, and paying for college. Members receive one-on-one educational advisement, assistance with the college admission process, and assistance with scholarship information and funding. In addition to BGCMA, Delta Community also presented grant awards to The Georgia Law Center for the Homeless and The Posse Foundation.

The Delta Community Philanthropic Fund www.deltacommunitycu.com/community/community/philanthropic-fund.aspx supports financial literacy and education in the communities where the Credit Union has branch locations. The application period for 2016 grants is open now, until June 30, 2015.
