The City of Duluth’s signature event of the year is right around the corner. The 37th annual Duluth Tree Lighting will surely help bring in the holiday season for many on Saturday, December 5th.

The event kicks off at 5pm with fun activities for children such as arts and crafts, letters to Santa, inflatables, and City Hall Open House.

37th Annual Celebration

The Tree Lighting ceremony will begin at 6PM.

“It is a pleasure working with the Fall Festival each year on the annual Tree Lighting. We love to see all the little faces just memorized by all the twinkling lights, fun activities, and of course Santa Claus” said Event Coordinator Maggie Waddell.

The Freedom Band will hit the stage at 5PM to kick off the holiday festivities, and the 12 Stone carolers will be strolling around downtown Duluth singing cheerful holiday classics all night. Chattahoochee Elementary School will begin their holiday program at 6PM, followed up by local artist Emily Vance singing her original song “Christmas Stay’s The Same” and “Oh Holy Night”. Santa will be making his grand entrances on the Duluth Express. The event is free to the public and residents are encouraged to come out and bring in the holiday with the City of Duluth.

The event is brought to you by the City of Duluth & Duluth Fall Festival. For more information, please visit www.duluthga.net.
