Gwinnett Tax Commissioner Website Wins Award in International Competition

Lawrenceville - The Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner’s office has won a Gold MarCom Award for their recently-redesigned website. The MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

Judges look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

“Our website was redesigned to help citizens more easily access tax information, including from any mobile device,” said Tax Commissioner Richard Steele. “This award is a reflection of the thought and hard work our website team put into making this improvement a reality.”

The new www.GwinnettTaxCommissioner.com was launched in June. In addition to its brand new look, it is now mobile responsive, making it even easier to access information and make payments online.

There were over 6,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and 15 other countries. Winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.

The Tax Commissioner of Gwinnett County is a constitutionally-elected official responsible for billing and collection of property taxes and for administering homestead exemptions.  Serving also as an agent for the State of Georgia, the Tax Commissioner registers and titles motor vehicles and collects all associated revenue.
