The city will leverage Accela Agenda and Minutes to automate the preparation of meeting agendas and all related materials distribution. In addition, Accela Civic Streaming will allow the city to offer citizens on-demand, high-definition video streaming and online viewing of public meetings, making it easy for residents to search for recent, historic or corresponding meeting videos and materials online. The first public meeting that will be available for online viewing will be the Policy Work Session on October 17th at 6:30 p.m.
The Citizen Web Portal, where citizens can access agenda and minutes documents and the on-demand video library, is currently available at http://norcrossga.iqm2.com/Citizens/default.aspx or on the main city website via the ‘Agenda’s and Minutes’ tab, under popular links.
Residents with an iPad can download the Norcross-branded Accela mobile app, WeGovern, in the iTunes Store. The mobile app provides the same functionality as the Citizen Web Portal, and is available directly on your iPad!
To download the app, search “WeGovern” in the iTunes store. Take the following steps to access meeting content on your iPad:

“The City of Norcross is pleased to offer this new tool to our citizens that will allow for greater transparency and efficiency. The use of Accela is just one more way we are working to better serve our citizens and streamline our processes,” said Norcross City Manager Rudolph Smith.

About the City of Norcross
Incorporated in 1870, the city of Norcross has been very busy securing a solid standing as both an eco-conscious community and world-class art district in the nearly century and a half since. Voted Gwinnett County’s “Best Arts & Cultural Scene” by Gwinnett Magazine, Norcross has become well known for its unconventional public arts projects. In addition to earning both Gold and Silver Level awards as a “Green Community” from the Atlanta Regional Commission, Norcross has been recognized as a “Best Green Government” by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and “Tree City USA” by The Arbor Day Foundation. The Sustainable Norcross Commission has earned regional applause for its efforts to spearhead the City’s local pro-environment practices. The city’s famed tree canopy, 11 parks and more than 31 acres of beautifully maintained public green space serve as popular gathering spaces for residents and visitors alike. A jam-packed calendar of events and eclectic collection of shops and restaurants serve to keep the historic downtown area bustling year-round. Creative souls from all walks of life are encouraged to “come unwind” and enjoy the positive energy that earns Norcross its reputation as “a place to imagine.”
