City Celebrates Newest Eatery, HotRocks Grill

PEACHTREE CORNERS – Gwinnett County’s largest city has become a dining mecca of sorts. Just barely 5 years old, the city continues to expand on its variety of culinary choices. Since January 2016, 31 new restaurants have opened in the city. The latest is HotRocks Grill, a fast-casual eatery serving dishes with a distinctive Mediterranean flair.

Located on the corner of S. Old Peachtree Road and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, the city’s newest restaurant serves up a variety of American dishes, some with a definite Mediterranean twist. On the menu: tabbouleh salad and Calamari with sriracha aioli, along with a number of rotisserie chicken choices which are cooked over open flames. And for those craving a burger, HotRocks Grill serves up an Angus beef burger that comes with lettuce, tomato, onion and cheddar cheese.

Also on the menu is a selection of salads including Greek, Kale & Spinach, Baby Arugula & Gold Beets and Couscous Salad. Other offerings include a choice of wraps and platters. For the vegetarian, there are a number of selections including the Veggie Burger that is prepared with a secret recipe says John Davidson, one of the three partners in the new business.

Diners visit the counter overlooking the open kitchen to place their orders, the food is brought to their table. The interior is decorated with a combination of metals and soft brown colors with comfortable seating. The children’s menu offers five options and the dessert menu includes a chocolate mousse cake, cheese cake, rice pudding and a Mediterranean favorite, Baklava.

“We are happy to welcome HotRocks Grill to Peachtree Corners,” said Mayor Mike Mason during the recent ribbon cutting event to celebrate the restaurant’s official opening. “It’s in a great location with great food. I’m sure it will be a popular dining spot.”

The new business is owned by three business partners; John Davidson, Bassam Kahwach and Julie Smith. HotRocks Grill, located at 4941 S. Old Peachtree Road, serves lunch and dinner daily between 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Call 770-837-0023 for more information.
