Four Grayson USPS Employees Retire

The Grayson Post Office honored Janice Jones, Pam Howard, Lyn Bennett and Laurie Hunter with a retirement reception May 23rd at the post office.

 Pam Howard (L) retired in May with 30 years of service with the postal service.  Janice Jones (R) Grayson’s first female mail carrier. Janice says she plans to stay active, work in her yard and “ do whatever I want to do when I want to do it”. 

Pam Howard is a Long Island, New York native who began her postal career in upstate New York thirty years ago.

Pam and her family with her Mother, Ruby, moved to Loganville twelve years ago. Pam has handled the PO Boxes and counter service in Grayson the past eleven years. Prior to service in Grayson, Pam was at the Loganville Post office for a year.

Pam is planning to care for her Mother and do volunteer work. Pam also plans to work on family genealogy connecting Ruby’s Georgia roots. Ruby grew up in the Jefferson and Commerce areas. It is those roots that brought Ruby and the family back to Georgia twelve years ago.

Lyn Bennett, a Grayson postal carrier for 18.5 years and Laurie Hunter a carrier who served 17 years retired in recent months.
