Seta-Herlihy

Marco and Lesli Seta of Grayson, GA are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Nola Marie Seta, to Derry Matocha Herlihy, son of Dr. James Patrick Herlihy and Ms. Katherine Abba.

Nola is a 2007 graduate of the American School in Switzerland and a 2011 graduate of The University of Notre Dame.  She is finishing up her fourth year at NYU School of Medicine, where she will graduate in May.  In June, she will begin a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.  The residency years are notorious for long hours and demanding schedules, especially in the field of obstetrics.  But, with a spectacular view of Central Park from labor and delivery, the long hours won’t be too bad!

Derry, originally from Houston, Texas, is a bond trader with Citibank.  He is also a 2011 graduate of The University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the Fighting Irish football team.

The couple will be married on May 23, 2015 at The Church of St. Francis Xavier in Manhattan with a reception to follow at The Plaza.  They will return from their honeymoon in the Philippines to live in New York City.

Nola, a native of Gwinnett County, was a contributing writer for The Gwinnett Citizen for seven years, beginning with The McConnell Megaphone, which she wrote while attending McConnell Middle School.  Then, in ninth grade, she went to The American School in Switzerland for what was to be a study abroad year, but she ended up staying all four years and graduating high school there.  She shared her travels, adventures, and reflections with us through her monthly column, Letters from Abroad.

From all of us at The Gwinnett Citizen, we wish you all the best in your new life together. Congratulations Nola and Derry.
