The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Norma Lewis and the late Mr. Albert Lewis of Kansas City, MO and the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Heuman of Boonville, MO. He is a graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville, GA and holds a B.S. degree in geography from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. He is employed as an environmental scientist with Georgia Power Company in Atlanta, GA.
The bride is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Hurt, Jr. of Cordele, GA and Mr. and Mrs. James Deadwyler of Covington, GA. She is a graduate of Crisp Academy in Cordele, GA and Mercer University in Macon, GA with a B.A. degree in political science and Spanish. Ashley is also a graduate of Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law and is an attorney with Deadwyler Law in Macon, GA.
Suzanne Palmer of Macon, GA served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were sisters of the bride, Whitney Deadwyler of Alpharetta, GA and Sutton Waller of Cordele, GA; sister of the groom, Kristina Heuman of Smyrna, GA; Katie McWilliams and Katie Rumsey both from Cordele, GA; Caitlin Miller of Atlanta, GA; Elizabeth Carr of Albany, GA; Char Leigh Roberts of Cleveland, TN; and Leah Aiken of Macon, GA. Ella Magda and Emerson Toles both of Macon, GA served as flower girls.
Matt Hertling of Suwannee, GA served as best man. Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted at Twin Oaks Farm in Pineview, GA for family and friends of the bride and groom. After a honeymoon to Cayo Levantado in the Dominican Republic, the couple is at home in Milledgeville, GA.
