Watson – Stone

Watson - Stone

Taylor Leigh Watson and Phillip Eugene Stone were united in marriage at 3pm, May 30, 2015 at Concord Baptist Church in Clermont, Ga.

The bride is the daughter of Valeria and Heath Watson of Jasper.  She is the granddaughter of Virginia and Buzz Whitacre of Jasper and Beth and John Keown of Florida.

The groom is the son of Jone and Duane Stone of Lawrenceville.  He is the grandson of Greta and Marlon Durden of Loganville, Wilma Stone of Snellville, and the late Elwyn Stone.

The Rev. James Forrester of Concord Baptist Church performed the ceremony.  The beautiful celebration of love and commitment was directed by the bride’s friend, Leah Westberry of Dahlonega.  The bride was presented in marriage by her father.  The bride’s sisters, Heather Watson and April Watson of Jasper were both maids of honor.  The bride’s friend, Ashley Hamby of Dawsonville was bridesmaid.

The groom’s sister, Ashley Stone of Lawrenceville, stood beside her brother as best woman.  The groom’s lifelong friend, Jeremy Milton of Conyers, was best man.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Clermont Venue, Clermont’s historic hotel.   The charming atmosphere of the beautifully restored main floor of the hotel was enhanced by photographs of the bride and groom growing up, displayed amid antique trunks and suitcases and flowers arranged in a variety of treasured family vases and teacups, a nod to the couple’s love of all things vintage.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Waters Mill in Dahlonega on the eve of the wedding.  The delicious Southern meal was served to family and wedding party on the expansive front porch of the Waters family home.

Following a honeymoon to Nashville and Tybee Island, a gift from the bride’s dear family friend, Brenda Shirley, the couple resides in Murrayville, Ga.
