Dr. Kristen Ann Bozeman and Mr. Joshua Alan Small were united in marriage on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Northbrook United Methodist Church in Roswell, Georgia. The Rev. Jim Winn, uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony which was directed by the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Sherry Winn. Guests were greeted by Miss Jennifer Bozeman and Mrs. Holly Johnson, cousins of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kirk Bozeman of White and the granddaughter of Mrs. Kenneth Winn and Mrs. Jack Bozeman and the late Mr. Winn and Rev. Bozeman, all of Elberton. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robin Freeman of Grayson and Mr. Jacob Small of Lithonia. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hilburn of Kingston, Dr. Robert Freeman of Grayson and the late Mrs. Jean Ann Freeman, Mrs. Mary Lou Freeman, and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Small. Candles on the altar were lit to honor the memory of the couple’s six deceased and beloved grandparents by the acolyte, Master Blake Hilburn, cousin of the groom.

The bride was attired in a floor length satin gown with a beaded halter top and tulle skirt and entered the church as Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” was played by Mr. Brian McLeod, organist. The bride’s attendants wore floor length satin gowns of cobalt blue with halter tops. Dr. Katie Goodman of Canton served as her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride Miss Jeanette Bowman of Athens, Dr. Mallory Breeden of Leesburg, Mrs. Amanda Herrin of Savannah, and Dr. Sarah Swinson of Hazlehurst. Little Miss Claire Goodman, niece of the bride, was the flower girl and wore a sleeveless floor length white dress with a full skirt and cobalt blue sash.

Dr. John Small of Atlanta, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were friends of the groom Mr. Jared Pallas of Atlanta, Dr. Nathan Swanson of Augusta, Mr. Tony West of Grayson, and Dr. Drexel Trussell of Knoxville, Tennessee. Master Clay Hilburn, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer. Along with the groomsmen, guests were ushered by Mr. Tanner Winn and Mr. Tyler Winn, cousins of the bride.

The couple lit the unity candle as Rev. Andy Peabody, friend of the bride’s family, sang “Marry Me,” accompanying himself on guitar. Following the lighting of the unity candle, the couple assisted Rev. Peabody and the bride’s father, Rev. Dr. Kirk Bozeman, in serving communion.

On the day prior to the wedding the bride and bridesmaids were entertained at a luncheon at Olive Garden in Roswell by Mrs. Susan Chapman. Following the rehearsal, the bridal party and family members were entertained by the groom’s parents at historic Naylor Hall in old Roswell. The bride’s parents hosted a reception following the wedding ceremony at the Atlanta National Golf Club in Milton.

Following a honeymoon in Aruba, the couple resides in Alpharetta where Mr. Small is a financial analyst with Compass Group and Dr. Small an assistant pharmacy manager with Publix.
