Back from the brink!!! Yes that just might be the statement of the year. How many of you are suffering from website death. You know what I mean; when was the last time you completely overhauled your site?

Who owns your domain?

Why should I know who the registrar of my domain is, and why do I keep getting renewal notices from different companies?
I want to address some issues regarding domain name registration. I have been building websites since 2000 and am still concerned that clients don’t know who owns or who the registrar is for their domain name.
Hold-on – maybe I should back up for a moment and explain what a domain name actually is.
Who can you trust?

I have been perplexed the last few days, after meeting with one of our new clients. They told me a salesman called on them, prior to calling us to help with advertising, securing a domain name and hosting for a website he would build for them. After taking their check and having them sign a contract, he disappeared into the night never to be found again.
Greetings and salutations, welcome to this month’s issue of Things You Should Know. I am going to wander off the path a bit and discuss networking, yes networking. I know that seems to be the buzz going on right now, but don’t worry I do have a nugget for you. Ah, you thought I was talking about business networking groups, well no!

QR Codes! What the heck is a QR Codes?
I know that is what some of you are thinking right now. Well here is the Wikipedia answer to that: QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response Code) is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional bar code).
The QR code was invented in Japan by the Toyota subsidiary Denso Wave in 1994 to track vehicles during manufacture. It was designed to allow high-speed component scanning. It has since become one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes and has completely invaded the web and mobile devices.
So, you just woke up from your 10 year hibernation and social media marketing through sites such as Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest has become the way of marketing for business owners.

Your website is an incredibly important component of your online marketing. And there’s a vast number poorly designed websites to make it worth saying again. Your company’s website is a perfect opportunity to make an impression on a potential customer.
