If that’s the case, you’re probably one of the 36 million Americans who wake up each spring morning with a runny nose, itchy eyes and a scratchy throat, all symptoms of seasonal allergies. Peanut butter and jelly. Peas and carrots. Smoking and lung cancer. Like it or not, some things just go together. In fact, 80 to 90 per cent of lung cancer cases in the U.S. and Canada are directly attributed to smoking.

But if you think lung cancer only happens to smokers think again. You don’t have to be a smoker in the true sense of the word to be at higher risk for this disease.
