My view from the “bleachers” this month brought so many wonderful options to write about. A couple of great folks stood out this month. One person represented what it means to get involved and be a good sport and the other showed that even in the face of adverse conditions, keeping your sense of self is crucial. This column could never run dry. Choosing is the hard part.

This month, my perches have involved an old black leather couch donated by a good friend for the recording studio my oldest son and his rock band have the good fortune to call “rehearsal space” and my regular spot as GHS Rams Band chaperon.

From where I sit, or stand and cheer, measures of strength can vary greatly. There is the obvious muscle power it takes to drive back an offensive line or push through a defense.
