Grace today in 2015

‘Lil Grace

Like a person gaining vision after having lost sight, Grace Cantrell stared out in amazement.  From her car window seat she was mesmerized by the blue sky, trees, and others cars.

From the Bleachers

Driver Training

This month, my view from the bleachers has been concentrated on the last few weeks of driver training for my 15 year old son. While it sounds a little bit scary, the whole experience didn’t turn out to be as bad as I thought it might have been.

THINKERS
 – Competence, like truth, beauty and a contact lens, is in the eye of the beholder.
 – Diplomacy is the art of letting someone else have your way.
 – History repeats itself because nobody listens.
 – Never try to tell everything you know, it might take too short a time.
 – A miser is a person who lives within his income, he is also a magician.

Are you a Leader? If not what kind of Leader are you following?

Are you a Leader? If not what kind of Leader are you following?

I just finished reading the #1 New York Times Bestselling Author John C. Maxwell’s The 5 Levels of Leadership.  In this book he states as a leader, you have great power to lift people up.  Mother Teresa said “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are endless.”

Beauty is only skin deep unless you’re talking about the six Grayson High School Senior athletes who served as escorts for the 2015 Miss Grayson pageant: Evan Floyd – Lacrosse athlete; Matt McHugh – Lacrosse; Josh Phillips -Soccer athlete; Drew Buschman – baseball; Bryant Chandler – baseball; David Stinson – baseball.  They are shown surrounding 2014 Miss Georgia Maggie Bridges, Georgia Tech student who won her title last June.

Finding your “thing”

Finding your “thing”
By Ella Thomas

Guest Columnist, Kristie Horn

This month, I am trading my perch in the bleachers for a virtual seat next to another Grayson Mom who spends a great deal of time observing life “from the bleachers”. “I must confess that I do prefer sharing my perspective from the comfort of a theater seat rather than ‘From the Bleachers’”, says Kristie. I must confess, I am a little jealous…

Happy New Year and I want to welcome you to the year 2015.  It is customary for many people to start a New Year with a New Year’s resolutions, for a positive change in their lives.  Some people want to lose weight, others stop smoking, and some want to pay off bills or save more money as part of their New Year’s Resolution.
