New Lawrenceville has been “Bringing Community Together” for 9 years now.  We do this through 12 business networking opportunities, an additional 6 co-hosted networking meetings, a festival, the trolley tours, our summer speaker series, a 2-page spread in the Gwinnett Citizen and now our 1st Annual Golf Tournament.

The secret fact.  No one dares admit in sport success is the necessity of superhuman lawn care. At Grayson High School, former GHS baseball athlete/current Assistant Coach Kegan Bailey showed a willingness to deal head on with this issue by posing for the Varsity Team picture ON the team tractor. He was supported not only by the Varsity team but also by Head Coach Bill Batchelor and Assistant Audra Thomas.

Our quadruple-tasker has reviews

Our quadruple-tasker has reviews
By Ella Thomas

When I was trying to figure out what to write for my article this month, I was relaxing – reading, watching television, and listening to music. All the while I was thinking – wow, I’m a great quadruple-tasker, but that’s really beside the point.

Are you ready for the big show?

Are you ready for the big show?
By Beth Volpert

It IS that time again. Time for me to take up my spot on the bleachers where I will watch my oldest one and his friends perfect music for the marching band and my youngest smack some hockey pucks around. From my vantage point, I am privileged to see so much that goes on during the fall season of sports, marching bands and general “back-to-school” life.

The hallways in high school are full once again with our youth coming and going from one classroom to the next.  Syllabi have been passed out, rolls have been called and fall sports are underway.  NG3 is also underway, working right beside the coaches and pouring into the lives of the student athletes. Much like the upperclassmen excited to build on the foundations they’ve laid in the previous years, NG3 is looking to continue the promotion of character development and spiritual growth.  This year, there is a renewed focus on reaching even more student athletes.

We have been having some very hot weather that brings occasional fierce afternoon storms. For those of us with breathing problems, this cuts into our ex- ercise programs. Let’s take a look at the various exercise programs offered by H2U at Eastside Medical Center South Campus.  You must be a member of H2U to participate in these programs so I  suggest that you visit one or two to see if you feel they are right for you and worth the $20 H2U membership fee. Your first visit is free, classes usually last one hour.

Come on fall!!

Come on fall!!

COME ON FALL!!  Yes, I like summer, but I love fall! Always have and always will. Summer is good because you can watch your garden grow, jump into the pool and go fishing until the sun goes down. But fall… well there’s crisp apples, boiled peanuts, the changing of the leaves and you can pull out your jeans and sweat shirts.

Little Grace.  So thoughtful, so caring, a name befitting her manner. Little Grace.  So cute, so bright, why do you break so many hearts?

On January 5, 2011, Grace Cantrell came into the world.  She was Shauna and Tim’s first child.
