Everyday another student athlete is being mentored, another member of the next generation is being taught the importance of making the right choices and the effect those choices have on those around them, another life is being shaped.

“As life goes on, they become more and more important to your existence.” The word ‘they’ in this quote is referring to friends, and it couldn’t be more true. We are blessed in our lives with cousins, best friends and good friends. How lucky was I to have had them rolled into one?

I have been bossed around by a lot of people in my life but no one as adorable as Cheyenne Anderson, preschool veteran of Bethlehem Christian Academy, who has been known to coach her mother in the morning by saying “Mom, that’s not your color.” Daughter of Casey and Ryan Anderson and sister to 9 year old Caleb, Cheyenne loves being photographed and in Cindy’s words “very fashionable.” The well rounded Ms. Anderson, loves princesses, playing outdoors and tumbling.
This month, my perches have involved an old black leather couch donated by a good friend for the recording studio my oldest son and his rock band have the good fortune to call “rehearsal space” and my regular spot as GHS Rams Band chaperon.
