Lemonade?

“Home of the Bears” is a charming nickname for Mountain View High School but it became more than a little ironic,

Reflecting on family and home – 70’s

I recently went to the Snell family reunion. I always look forward to our reunion, to see who has gotten older (ha, like myself), who has gotten married and of course who has had a baby or babies!  I love all of my family and I’m very proud to be a part of it.

NG3 Gwinnett!!… Character

NG3 Gwinnett!!… Character!
By NG3 staff

Character.  In the classroom, high school students learn about dangling participles, centripetal force, the pythagorean theorem, and The Battle of the Little Bighorn.  On the practice field, they are taught how to pick up a blitzing linebacker, when to throw to the cut-off man, how to elongate their stride in the 400, how to defend the pick-and-roll.  Our teachers and coaches have their hands full. At NG3, we work alongside these hard-working men and women to complete the picture for our next generation.

NG3 Gwinnett!!… now Archer!

We are so excited to announce that Archer High School has joined the NG3 community.  We are continuing to grow in Gwinnett one school at a time. The vision that we have at NG3 doesn’t work unless we have local high schools who believe in us and are willing to let us partner with them.

Healthy, Happy Friends – September 2013

Healthy, Happy Friends – September 2013

School seems to have started much earlier this year.  H2U parents and grandparents have seldom celebrated their ice cream social after school has started back. But we did this time.  As usual, it was great fun.

How many of you have received a receipt at a restaurant with a phone number to call and complete a survey?  They always say you might win something, maybe a free desert on your next trip.

End of an era

End of an era

A good friend of mine recently sent me a funny slide show that targets people of a certain age.  It asked, “Do you remember these things?”, and then showed pictures of things like old ice trays with the pull up handle, rotary telephones, and a Jiffy-Pop popcorn bag ready to explode.  A picture of a big road side produce stand would have fit nicely in that group.  You don’t see many of those any more, and now you’ll see one less.

Thoughts for the Days

What a pity human beings can’t exchange problems. Everyone knows exactly how to solve the other fellow’s.

A House Divided

I always feel that the things that “go wrong” make the most vivid memories, and if they’re not too bad, the best memories.
