Growing up as a teenager in 2018 is a bit more different than what my parents described their high school and teenage years experiences were. I’m sure I’m not the only person whose parents have told them about what life was like growing up. Whether it’s the clothes they wore, the music they listened to, or whatever they did after school with their friends.
Everyone’s favorite time of the year is here, Christmas, New Years, whatever your holiday maybe! The festive season is approaching quickly. And this month I want to let you all into the world of a high schooler’s perspective on the holidays.
This month I’m taking on something new and exciting! As most of you know, I am Miss Gwinnett County’s Outstanding Teen. As Miss Gwinnett’s title holder, I am going down to Columbus, GA this month to compete for Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen.
Freshman Year

What goes around…
Wow. I can’t believe it’s already May. Freshman year has completely flown by. So, this month I just want to recap everything that happened my first year of high school.
For the past month I have been so busy!!! As a freshman at Grayson High School, my first month in high school has flown by! It feels like an on-going roller coaster filled with student council meetings, lots of AP homework, cross country practices everyday, small group leading at my church for our youth ministry, and piano lessons.
