Major Transportation Project Slated to Begin in Downtown Duluth

Duluth, Georgia – A 3.5 million dollar transportation project is slated to begin in Duluth on January 19, 2015. This project will be three phases, beginning with Main Street Parking (phase I and II) and ending with the SR120 Realignment, Sidewalks and Gateway Improvements (phase III).

Lawrenceville, GA – The members of Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter (“UAO”) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (“AKA”) are no strangers to volunteerism and community service. Chartered in January 1994, UAO members provided over 7000 community service hours to Gwinnett County and beyond in 2014.

The United Ebony Society of Gwinnett County, Inc. will host the 15th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Monday, January 19, 2015 in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  The theme, “Uniting in Faith and Perseverance: Celebrating 15 Years in Gwinnett” underscores how faith and perseverance enabled the United Ebony Society to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King through the vision of creating the first MLK Annual Parade in Gwinnett County.
