‘Bosom Buddies’ back for another event

SNELLVILLE – For the second straight year, the city’s Public Works Department has brought home an award from the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, this time the top prize in the Waste Reduction and Recycling Awards Category for a government agency.

Lawrenceville, GA – The members of Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter (“UAO”) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (“AKA”) are no strangers to volunteerism and community service. Chartered in January 1994, UAO members provided over 7000 community service hours to Gwinnett County and beyond in 2014.
The Stone Mountain Barbershop Chorus, led by director Dylan Oxford, invites everyone to enjoy an afternoon of four-part harmony at a special performance benefitting the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry at 3:30pm on Saturday, January 31, at Grayson United Methodist Church, 555 Grayson Parkway, Grayson, GA 30017.

The United Ebony Society of Gwinnett County, Inc. will host the 15th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Monday, January 19, 2015 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The theme, “Uniting in Faith and Perseverance: Celebrating 15 Years in Gwinnett” underscores how faith and perseverance enabled the United Ebony Society to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King through the vision of creating the first MLK Annual Parade in Gwinnett County.
