14U Atlanta Premier –Haag Travel Softball Team wins nationals

Gwinnett county’s 14U Atlanta Premier – Haag travel softball team recently won a berth to the PGF Nationals in Huntington Beach, California! PGF (Premier Girls Fastpitch) is considered the highest level, and the most competitive softball in the nation!

William Pittman Williams 90th Family Reunion

The annual William Pittman Williams reunion will take place on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Summit Chase Country Club, Snellville, Georgia. The event begins with a buffet lunch at 12:30. After lunch a memorial service will be held to remember family members who died since the 2013 reunion.

A significant gift of $250,000 from Greg and Tammy Shumate enabled Georgia Gwinnett College and its School of Transitional Studies to recently open a much-needed Advising Center.  The center served 1,071 students in its first year.

DULUTH, GA – Recently members of the Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia’s Professional Advisors Council and staff, along with student volunteers, converted the Foundation board room into a sandwich assembly line to provide much-needed lunches for local children lacking an essential meal during their summer break from school.
