Gwinnett’s STAR teacher named a “Top Ten Educator of Year”
Gwinnett County’s STAR teacher has yet another distinction to add to his list of awards: that of being named one of the “Top Ten Educators of the Year.” The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) recently announced that Mr. Dana Kling of Brookwood High is one of 10 teachers from around the country named a 2013 Claes Nobel Educator of the Year. Mr. Kling, an American Literature and Advanced Placement Literature teacher, was formally honored Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Carter Center in Atlanta. The other nine teachers had been invited to the event in Georgia where Governor Deal had declared December 7 as National Society of High School Scholars Day. The event also included scholarship presentations and panel discussions.
