Michelle Gay McGill Couch of Lawrenceville went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2018. Michelle was born on August 21, 1968, to her parents Charles and Dorothy McGill of Summerville, South Carolina. She was a graduate of Summerville High School and attended Trident Technical College, and is predeceased by her parents and her beloved sister, Sherrilyn Drawdy.

Race for a cause in the 40th Annual Possum Trot 10K – June 16

Race begins 7 a.m. | 1 mile fun run begins 7:05 a.m.

ATLANTA, Ga. – For 40 years, the Possum Trot 10K has allowed runners to take part in a great race while helping save animals and all along the beautiful banks of the Chattahoochee River. This year, the race gets running June 16 at 7 a.m.

New Distracted Driving Law takes effect July 1

Lawrenceville – Gov. Nathan Deal signed House Bill 673 into law Wednesday. Effective July 1, 2018, Gwinnett County drivers will face new restrictions on the use of electronic devices while driving and new penalties designed to counter the ongoing threat of distracted driving.

J.” Faires Johnson, age 93, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, after developing pneumonia and having congestive heart failure.  She is survived by her two sons & daughters-in-law, Tom & Nancy Clack Johnson and Rick & Tommie Ann Wages Johnson all of Lawrenceville, GA; five grandchildren, Thomas & Taylor Johnson of Cumming, GA, David Alan Johnson and fiancée, Lauren Franklin of Atlanta, GA, Matthew Wages Johnson of Lawrenceville, GA, Kathryn Marie Johnson of Atlanta, GA, and Samuel Joseph Johnson of Sandy Springs, GA; two great grandsons, Parker and Peyton Johnson both of Cumming, GA; other relatives and a host of friends.

Duluth Art Week Kicks off with Arts Festival, Live Performances & Music on Duluth Town Green 

Duluth –Duluth kicks off Art Week 2018 with a two-day juried Arts Festival presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces on April 28th & 29th. Live music and food trucks will accompany the event along with 60 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalworkers, glass blowers, jewelers, and crafters.

Dalton; siblings, Wendell Dalton, Rubye Spence, Thomas Dalton, Opal Dalton, Pasney Dalton, and Margaret Dalton; and great-granddaughter, Ireland.
