The Snellville Lions Club brought smiles to the 3rd Graders at W.C. Britt Elementary School.  Through a program called The Dictionary Project, the Snellville Lions donated a Webster Student dictionary to every student in the 3rd grade classes at W.C. Britt.

NSDAR celebrates Constitution Week

There are two documents of paramount importance to American history: the Declaration of Independence, which forged our national identity, and the United States Constitution, which set forth the framework for the federal government that is still in use today.  This year, the annual celebration began September 17, 2016.

Jerry Chadwick “Chad” Baker, III, son of Jerry and Charity Baker of Covington Georgia, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout on September 24, 2016.  Chad, a senior at Walnut Grove High School, worked with the Monastery of the Visitation in Snellville Georgia for his Eagle Award project.

Snellville – A tea and poetry event was hosted by Silverleaf of Snellville, a personal care home specializing in memory care and Horizons Healthcare, an adult and geriatric healthcare practice based in Snellville. Lally Gaidelman Cyr, who is originally from England, was the guest of honor at the affair where various members of the community read selections from her recently printed book, Lally’s Voice: The Collected Poems of Lally Gaidelman Cyr.
