Election season offers many chances for Gwinnett voters to cast ballots in English or Spanish

Lawrenceville – Election season has arrived and Gwinnett voters should make note of the many opportunities to cast their ballot. This is the first election year after the Census notified Gwinnett County they meet the threshold for compliance with Section 203 of the Voting Rights Act requiring both English and Spanish language voter registration and elections materials.

Lawrenceville – La temporada de elecciones ha llegado y los votantes de Gwinnett deben tomar nota de las muchas oportunidades que existen para emitir su voto. Este es el primer año electoral después que el Censo notificara al Condado de Gwinnett que ya alcanzó el límite para cumplir con la Sección 203 de la Ley de los Derechos Electorales, la cual requiere que los materiales de inscripción de votante y de elecciones se ofrezcan en inglés y español.

Jannetta “J. J.” Faires Johnson, age 93, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, after developing pneumonia and having congestive heart failure.  She is survived by her two sons & daughters-in-law, Tom & Nancy Clack Johnson and Rick & Tommie Ann Wages Johnson all of Lawrenceville, GA; five grandchildren, Thomas & Taylor Johnson of Cumming, GA, David Alan Johnson and fiancée, Lauren Franklin of Atlanta, GA, Matthew Wages Johnson of Lawrenceville, GA, Kathryn Marie Johnson of Atlanta, GA, and Samuel Joseph Johnson of Sandy Springs, GA; two great grandsons, Parker and Peyton Johnson both of Cumming, GA; other relatives and a host of friends. 

Help shape Gwinnett’s future by attending a 2040 Unified Plan Open House

Lawrenceville – The Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development is soliciting public input to assist in the development of the 2040 Unified Plan through several community open houses, beginning April 30 at the Dacula Park Activity Building. The community open house events will feature interactive exercises to encourage people to imagine Gwinnett County in 2040 and share their vision of what it could be.
