Join UGA Extension Gwinnett Master Gardener, Wes Nettleton, and learn how you can design your landscapes and gardens to be more bee-friendly, what plants are best in attracting bees to aid in pollination, and what types of pesticides to use.

Norcross Holds Community Meeting for Redevelopment of the WestRock Campus

You are invited to join City Leaders, appointed boards, and fellow citizens at a presentation for the proposed redevelopment of the former WestRock campus. The applicant will present the company’s vision and answer questions by all that attend. This is a wonderful opportunity for Norcross citizens, Mayor and Council, and boards to hear collectively first-hand the details of this proposed project.

Philadelphia Winn Chapter NSDAR Fourth Annual Chartered Tour

Lawrenceville, GA – Thursday morning, March 15, 2018, 40 Philadelphia Winn Chapter NSDAR Daughters, guests and one HODAR (husband of DAR) met at Ashton Senior Living to board a chartered bus for the Swan House, an excellent example of the Second Renaissance Revival style, and the Tullie Smith Farm, both located at the Atlanta History Center. 

Easter Egg Drop hosted by Center Hill Baptist Church

Center Hill Baptist Church will host “Easter Games & Chopper Drop” Saturday, March 31, at 2 p.m. Come witness the excitement as thousands of colorful, candy-filled eggs drop from a helicopter hovering over the ball field. Kids, ages PreK-5th, will race to see how many they can snatch up.

Georgia Connections Academy opens enrollment for 2018-19 school year

Georgia Connections Academy (GACA), a tuition-free virtual public charter school, has opened enrollment for the 2018-19 academic year. Serving students statewide in grades 6-12, the virtual school provides a flexible school option for families interested in an individualized approach to education.
