Norcross voters pass Freeport tax exemption

Norcross is the first city in Gwinnett County to offer tax exemptions for e-commerce fulfillment centers 

Norcross, GA—On Tuesday, November 7th , voters in Norcross were asked to consider allowing the city to exempt taxes on four classes of inventory for industrial and commercial businesses. Known as Freeport Inventory Tax Exemption, seventy-five percent (75%) of voters approved the incentive.

PEACHTREE CORNERS – Georgia Power announced that a county-wide audit of all utility accounts has identified some customers were not accurately billed. As a result, the power company has started issuing letters to effected customers notifying them of additional charges on their next bill.

Glenn P. Stephens, County Administrator, Gwinnett County Government, gave the opening remarks followed by Charlotte Nash, Chairman Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners and Lynette Howard, District Two Commissioner.  Representative Robert Woodall was also among the dignitaries and was cited for his ongoing commitment to veterans.
