Online obits: taking obituaries into the digital age
You probably already know an obituary (obit for short) is a notice of death. It generally includes a brief description of the deceased person’s life, a photo, a list of surviving family members and details about service date and location. But did you know obituaries have evolved by leaps and bounds in recent years?
One of the best parts of my job is getting to recognize county employees for doing terrific work. Last month, I had the pleasure of presenting our Department of Fire and Emergency Services with the American Red Cross Good Neighbor Award, which is given to organizations that build strong, safe, and vibrant neighborhoods and promote volunteerism.
