Gwinnett trails added to National Trails System

(Lawrenceville, Ga.) – In honor of National Trails Day, June 7, 2014, the U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and Director of the National Park Service Jonathan B. Jarvis announced four trails in the Gwinnett County park system as national recreation trails.

On May 24, 2014 Veterans came together in Snellville for the dedication of the Snellville Veteran’s Memorial. The memorial is located in front of Snellville City Hall at Hwy 78 and Oak Road. Vietnam Veteran Tom Witts (bottom center) has been committed to relighting the eternal flame in Snellville.
