Lawrenceville – As the 2013-20­14 school year comes to a close, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) will thank the 443 veteran educators and support staff members retiring this year who contributed to the success of Gwinnett students. In total, this year’s retirees have contributed a collective 11,023 years of their lives to education, and a total of 4,705 years to Gwinnett schoolchildren. In fact, 44% or 193 of the retirees, have worked their entire careers‹ in the classroom, office, cafeteria, bus, or shop‹ in Gwinnett.
