Haunted houses, haunted paths, ghosts, ghouls, graveyards and charitable donations go hand-in-bony-hand at this time of year… right? The combination works really well for some local families in Lilburn and Grayson.

Gourdgeous art

Snellville native, Tina Shumake Handrop, has been holding out on the art world. She has spent her life serving the needs of others. Family comes first for Tina – wife, mother, sister, daughter are all roles that she cherishes. As a postal employee and current postmaster of Snellville, Tina has had a full and rewarding career. As a wife and mother, she has rejoiced in the role of raising a family. It was her role as daughter that gave her the gift of art. Tina’s mother introduced her to the art of decorating gourds.

Kimberly Goodloe underwent open heart surgery and placement of a pacemaker in 2009.

South Gwinnett HS class of ‘63

The 1963 graduating class of South Gwinnett High School held its 50th reunion Saturday Sept. 28, 2013 at Heritage Clubhouse in Grayson GA.  26 of the 47 surviving members of 61 graduates attended. Festivities included a delicious meal, dozens of school days stories, and a slideshow memorial to the 14 classmates who have passed away. Coach and Mrs. Jack Britt were honored  guests. When The Radio City Rockette Christmas Spectacular commercials begin to appear on television, it usually means that the Christmas season is certainly just around the corner. When Rockettes appear in downtown Lawrenceville in early September, what is one to think or do?
