Respiratory Care Program Honored for Pass Rate and Job Placement Success

Gwinnett Technical College’s Respiratory Care program is considered one of the top programs of its kind in the country – not surprising when the program’s graduates boast an eight-year streak of 100 percent pass rates on the field’s national credentialing exam, a rare accomplishment.

Couch Wins Spring Middle School Golf League Season

The Couch Middle School golf team won the Spring Season Middle School team competition.

The team was comprised of Jolie Babcock, Whitley Carraway, Paige Greco, Braxton Holden, Trey Kirkpatrick, River Morrow, and Mylan Thadd. For the four weeks of team play, they shot a combined score of 16 under par!

James Snell Receives 60-Year Masonry Award in Snellville

The Snellville and Painesville Masonic Lodges collaborated to award James H. Snell with a pin for being a mason for 60 years. The award ceremony took place at the Snellville Masonic Lodge on May 6th around 7 p.m. and included a dinner in addition to the award ceremony.

City’s annual Festival for Blues, Blueberries and Blue Beer is back again this summer

Norcross has got the blues…and that’s a good thing! On June 15, the Bluesberry and Beer Festival will be held in Norcross’ Betty Mauldin Park from 3 – 10 p.m. This year’s exciting lineup of blues musicians is set to entertain into the evening and will feature the coolest bands from the local blues scene.
