Gwinnett Dermatology Celebrates 40 Years

In the late 1970s, 80s, and into the 90s, Gwinnett County went through incredible growth. Businesses of all kinds flooded into the area. There have been many who have not made it for various reasons, especially with the ebb and flow of economic factors. A few, however, have flourished through the decades since the initial boom. Gwinnett Dermatology is one of those long-standing pillars in the fabric of Gwinnett County. This year, they celebrate a significant 40th anniversary!

Perry and Clayton Streets to flow in both directions, Commuters urged to drive safely

LAWRENCEVILLE – The City of Lawrenceville’s much-anticipated two-way conversion of Perry Street and Clayton Street is set to begin the transition on July 9. As part of the city’s Livable Communities Initiative, the conversion will allow for improved mobility, better visibility, and increased safety.

Gwinnett Animal Shelter offering July Specials, including Free Fridays

The Gwinnett animal shelter is running multiple adoption specials in July to make it easier for you to take home your purrfect pet!

Specials include free adoptions every Friday, a reduced adoption fee of $20 for all animals throughout the month, and only $20 adoption fee for two kittens.

Board advertises lower millage rate

Lawrenceville– The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners proposes lowering the millage rate for the County’s General Fund for 2018 to 7.209 mills, which is 2.58 percent lower than the 2017 millage rate. As required by state law, Gwinnett County will publish on Sunday a five-year history of the tax digest including the current digest and proposed millage rate.

Gwinnett County to launch new, device-responsive website

Lawrenceville – Gwinnett County will launch a new, device-responsive website Friday evening. The new site will make it easier for Gwinnett residents to pay their water bills, learn about upcoming events and stay up to date with the latest Gwinnett County news from a phone or tablet.

Commissioners approve contract to renovate Norcross Senior Center

The Norcross Senior Center soon will undergo a renovation to make the facility more comfortable and convenient for Gwinnett’s aging population. On Tuesday the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners approved a $974,102 contract with Diversified Construction of Georgia to add space and amenities to the center, including an improved entrance, a new covered drop-off area, and interior updates.
