We live in a world of plenty, don’t we? In fact, we here in the United States live in a world of excess compared to much of the rest of the world. And here in Gwinnett County, we are (for the most part) both comfortable and sheltered.

I do it every year; I write something about gardening at about the same time my husband and I begin turning the earth and planting things in our own gardens and flower beds. Also every year, I fight the urge to jump the gun and begin planting too early just because I have spring fever.

We were young once, right?

My husband and I took a few days and headed for the beach for a few days last week. The past few months have been crazy, with a lot of great things going on, but crazy is still crazy! We really needed, and enjoyed, the break.

My husband and I took a little trip this past weekend. It involved 12 hours of driving (round trip), about 16 hours of work (a labor of love), and whatever time was left dedicated to dinners out, and sleep. Still, it was rare time together, and we always enjoy that.
