A Full Moon Over Tybee
While I enjoyed spending weekends with my grandkids, nothing matched a recent weekend visit to Tybee Island where I decided it was as good a time as any to show my grandson Carter how Pappaw could boogie board.

We’ve all heard the expression “dog days of summer.” For the longest time, I actually thought that this expression referred to the long, hot days of summer that are so long and brutally hot, even dogs suffer. There is so much divisiveness in today’s society and it appears to be worsening.
I could not believe how fast cars were passing me and I was driving the speed limit. Officials scratch their heads wondering why deadly crashes happen so frequently; it’s obvious; too many cars on the roads and too many speeders.
Back to school – three words that used to make my heart sing. When I was a kid, going back to school was a big deal in my house. I’m not sure whether my siblings felt the same way, but to me it was everything.
