GCPS Online Campus extends registration period for fall 2015

Gwinnett County parents interested in the online learning option for their children have additional time this spring to register for the 2015-2016 school year.

A spring registration period for Gwinnett County Online Campus (GOC) will be held April 20 through July 9 for students who will be in grades 4-12 next school year. (The school’s 8th grade class is full, but interested families can sign up to be placed on a waiting list. Waiting lists will also be established as other grades fill. Check the website for updates:  www.gwinnettonlinecampus.com)

Interested families should register in person at Gwinnett Online Campus, located at 713 Hi-Hope Road in Lawrenceville. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. To be added to a waiting list, families should email Gwinnettonline@gwinnett.k12.ga. Please format your email with Wait List in the subject line. Make sure to include the student’s name, grade level for the 2015-2016 school year, along with the name of the school in which they are currently enrolled. Wait list status will be determined based upon the order in which the emails are received. A confirmation email will be sent with your wait list number.

Because Gwinnett Online Campus is a system charter school, enrollment is open to all current school-aged children in grades 4-12 who reside in Gwinnett County. GOC offers a unique learning experience for students, providing scheduling flexibility that includes a combination of online and face-to-face on-campus learning, as well as access to courses at any time during the week. Gwinnett Online Campus offers the courses and the district’s AKS-based curriculum (which includes all state performance standards) found at traditional Gwinnett schools. The charter school seeks to enhance the learning of students in a world-class virtual environment, empowering them with the 21st century knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the local, national, and global community.

Information on GOC as well as forms to register can be accessed on the school’s website at gwinnettonlinecampus.com.
