Golf tournament to benefit Snellville Police Department

SNELLVILLE – The Snellville Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association is hosting its annual golf tournament fundraiser on April 27 with proceeds benefiting the city’s police department.

Registration and practice will begin at 8 a.m. at Summit Chase Country Club, 3197 Classic Drive in Snellville.

The Snellville Police Department works hard to keep Snellville and its citizens and their property safe and the SCPAAA, a 501c (3) organization, helps provide tools to aid the SPD in this effort.

In the past, the SCPAAA provided funds for laptops for the Criminal Investigation Division and for push bumpers, tinted-window treatments and spotlights for police cars. It also provides funding for K-9 unit and recently helped fund the purchase of the department’s new police dog Jax who began work earlier this year.

Entry fee is $85 per player and a sponsor entry is $110. A four-player team and tee package is $400. Additional Mulligans are available. Lunch will be provided by Texas Roadhouse.

For more information or for a tournament application, contact Mary Fergus at 770-985-1322 or mfergus@bellsouth.net. Applications are also available at Summit Chase Country Club, in the lobby at Snellville City Hall and at the PGA Superstore in Duluth.
