Great gifts for teens

Great gifts for teens
By Bella Koenig

Let’s say that you bought your child, niece, nephew, grandchild, or close family friend a pair of socks last year as a gift. They might have had the biggest and brightest smile on their face, but don’t be fooled. Teenagers are great actors! It might have just been there so that they did not hurt your feelings.

It is getting harder each year to buy teenagers gifts with the increasing amount of pickiness, and the amount of things that they already have. A safe and simple solution to this would be to give them either money or gift cars. Getting them these two items leaves them the option of getting exactly what they want. You also won’t have the nightmare of trying to pick the perfect present for your picky teen!

The most universal option for gift cards is American Express or Visa cards. These are the safest options because most stores and online shops will accept these cards. Also, if your teen has a car, something fantastic to give them is a gas card. The price of gas is forever rising and they would love to not spend the majority of their hard earned money at a gas station.

If you were looking to get a tad bit more personal you could get them a gift card to a place that you know that they shop at all the time. A good way to figure this out is to take them to the mall and let them roam free. See what stores they enter and how much time they spend there.

For example, if you notice that you teenage relative plays quite a lot of video games and spends hours in Game Stop, you could get them a gift card to the Game Stop store. You could even purchase a season pass to a game that they have – as long as you are absolutely positive that they do not already have a pass.

Another fantastic option would be to give the teen cash! Honestly, this could be a better alternative to gift cards. Money is something that can be saved and most teens have a car account or college funds. A large percentage, or even the whole amount of money, could be put into these accounts. Determining the amount is quite simple! Just think about all the gifts that you were going to buy them and total the cost of these items.

Choosing the perfect gift for anyone can be difficult – let alone a gift for a teenager! It all comes down to the personality of your teen. Does the teen love to have a wad of cash on them or do they prefer the plastic? With either choice, you will be guaranteed to see a truly happy smile!Let’s say that you bought your child, niece, nephew, grandchild, or close family friend a pair of socks last year as a gift.
