Gwinnett AKAs Roll Bounce Members Host Relay for Life fundraiser

Lawrenceville, GA – Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society provides research, information and assistance to those individuals and families affected by cancer.

Gwinnett AKAs Roll Bounce Members Host Relay for Life fundraiser

In an effort to help in fundraising the women of Upsilon Alpha Omega and Gwinnett Pearls of Service will be hosting a skating party known as Roll Bounce Friday, April 28, 2017 from 7pm to 10pm at Skate A Long USA 744 Beaver Ruin Road, Lilburn, GA 30047. Supporting the Gwinnett County Relay For Life is a signature community service activity for Upsilon Alpha Omega.  To date UAO has raised over $75,000 for the American Cancer Society.  Our Roll Bounce event brings the community together to support a wonderful cause to assure in our lifetime we will have MORE Birthdays. – Andria S. Additionally, Upsilon Alpha Omega members will be collection donations of backpacks and school supplies in support of the International Office of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated One Million Backpack Initiative.

Tickets may be purchased at the door and the $10 entrance fee includes the skate rental. Come have fun skating down memory lane while helping to raise funds for Relay for Life. This is a family friendly event and we encourage public support.

The first Greek-lettered organization primarily for college-educated African-American woman in Gwinnett County, UAO is known for its impact on the community through volunteerism and fundraising.

About Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter:
On January 29, 1994, thirty aspiring professional women chartered the Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The group gathered to implement and support the international programs of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as they pertain to the needs of Gwinnett County, Georgia. Today, Upsilon Alpha Omega, the first African-American Greek-letter organization in Gwinnett County is over 300 members strong, and has made a significant impact on the community. Andria S.
