Gwinnett Medical Center honors Dr. Lesser

By Cindy Murphy

Dr. Lanny Lesser, a Gwinnett County cardiologist since 1979, was honored May 16th by his family and friends at a reception announcing the creation of the Laurence Martin Lesser, MD Graduate Medical Education Endowment.

Thinking he was attending a medical practice meeting Dr. Lesser was surprised by family, friends, physicians and former patients.   Many shared stories of Dr. Lesser’s commitment to teaching as well as his compassion for treating his patients and their families. To commemorate the occasion Gwinnett Medical Center announced it will name the cardiology floor nursing station in honor of Lesser and a replica of the display was unveiled and presented to him.
