¡Hablamos Español!

We just finished our fourth year in the Dual Language Immersion program at Bethesda Elementary School. In DLI, we are taught half the day in Spanish and half the day in English.

Gianluca and Stefano Seta

We learn Math and Science in the Spanish language, and we study Reading, Writing and Social Studies in English. It’s fun!

Gwinnett County has more students in DLI than any other county in Georgia. There are six schools with a DLI program now, and they are opening two more next year, one at Meadowcreek and one at Level Creek. Families want dual language education for their kids because we are growing up in a global society where we need to communicate with people from all over the world. Gwinnett County currently offers DLI in Spanish and French, and in 2019 they will open a Korean DLI program.

Foreign language is like a secret code to unlock the communication and also the culture of people from other countries. Thanks to the Gwinnett County DLI program and our dedicated teachers at Bethesda Elementary School, we know the code!
¡Disfruta el verano! Enjoy the summer!
