The bride is the daughter of Daniel Wayne and Julia Walker Hartley of Gainseville. The groom is the son of Edwin Wayne and Holly Street Patterson of Grayson.
The Rev. Andy Cooke of the Presbyterian Student Center at the University of Georgia in Athens performed the ceremony. Pianist Michael Henry, director of music at First Presbyterian Church, presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The groom’s sister Ally Patterson of Grayson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s friends Caitlin Lewis of Savannah, Becca Wren of Atlanta, Connie Steinmann of Gainesville, Catherine Coppola of Augusta, and Becca Ann Clarke of Athens. The bride’s cousin Madeleine Qualle of Fresno, Calif., was the flower girl.
The groom’s friends Robby Shackelford of Athens was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother Brandon Harley of Marietta, and the groom’s friends Tahj Messer of Loganville, Alan Sheffield of Smyrna, Ryan Russell of Loganville and Mitchell Mayfield of Snellville. Ushers were Greg Brooker and Michael Clarke.
Dawn Fulenwider and Martha Hodge were the wedding coordinators. Louise Robison and Ellen Wren, both of Gainseville, were greeter.
The bride carried a lace-covered Bible from her grandmother’s wedding, and wore a sixpence that was worn by her mother and aunts in their weddings.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Scott’s Downtown restaurant in Gainseville on the eve of the wedding.
The bride’s parents gave a reception at Swetenburg Hall at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville following the ceremony.
Following a honeymoon to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, the couple reside in Atlanta.
