He is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and has been recognized as one of Georgia Trend’s “Top Doctors 2021” in Cardiovascular Diseases.
Dr. Rowe was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and grew up in Miami, Florida. He graduated valedictorian from Carol City High School and was then offered a full academic scholarship for a combined BA/MD seven-year program with Fisk University and Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in Nashville. He graduated from Fisk University Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa academic medical society. Then, he graduated from medical school at Meharry in the top 1% of his class.
Dr. Rowe performs cardiac (heart) catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiogram, cardioversions, echocardiography, vascular ultrasound interpretation, nuclear and non-nuclear stress test interpretation as well as consultative cardiology.
“I am excited to begin this partnership and be apart of a larger network at Piedmont and Piedmont Eastside. I’ve been with the Piedmont Clinic for six years, but decided to move closer to home to create a larger impact on my community,” said Dr. Rowe. “It’s important to be a cardiologist first, but a human being second. I am a vessel to my patients and when you’re with me, your concerns will be heard and I will communicate with you to the best of my abilities. I am interested in learning about you, so I can better serve you,” he said.
He is very active in his community, wanting to increase awareness of heart health in the Black community and in his church by doing medical screenings and speaking engagements across Norcross, Johns Creek, Duluth and Gwinnett County as a whole.
In his spare time, he enjoys time with his family, which includes his wife, who is a pediatrician, their two daughters and twin boys. He also enjoys landscape projects and enjoys being involved with several church and community events to better learn the needs of the people.
