I guess you could say we’re in the business of exceeding expectations.
One of the things that impressed me when I came to work for Dr. Simmons 15 years ago, is that he had gone through additional postgraduate training at the Pankey Institute. I knew this meant a certain level of quality over all areas with a commitment to the best of materials, clinical skill and especially our patient’s well-being. Individualized and comprehensive dentistry is something I like to be a part of!
So, how do we go about doing this? I’ll give you some more detail but essentially, it’s ‘teamwork that makes the dream work!’ Our staff genuinely loves making people feel better and contributing to their overall health and we enjoy working together toward this shared goal.
We are pleased to offer massage chairs, headphones, bottled water, flavored lip balm, cozy blankets, neck pillows, paraffin hand dip, milkshake coupons, one visit crowns, the latest technology, and a soothing water feature that was installed by Dr. Simmons himself! When you come into our office you are greeted in a warm, genuine way. As we walk with you to your room, you will notice the smiles lining our walls. These are some of the things we’ve accomplished together as a team.
It wouldn’t be right to talk about all we do and why we love it without also giving credit to the wonderful community we serve. Snellville has made some beautiful changes as it continues to grow. Brick lined walkways, wide sidewalks, the Wall of Veterans Memorial with an eternal flame and waterfall and the many activities hosted on the Towne Green. Our office has the privilege of being located right next door to Snellville City Hall with a Wisteria Drive or a Main Street entrance.
And now for my favorite part of all – our patients. We undoubtedly have the best patients ever!! They truly are a blessing. These are people that we feel are like family to us. I love talking to and laughing with our patients… seeing pictures of their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, dogs, cats, and the occasional turtle! I especially love that we pray for our patients and keep a prayer list in our breakroom. Each morning we have a meeting to go over our schedule and have a morning devotion. During that time we will also pray for those who are facing surgery, illness, and other difficult times.
I know I’m just a front office receptionist… most people see me smiling and trying to be helpful… and most times, day in day out – that’s what I do. Sitting at the front desk and facilitating the flow of our practice allows me to see patients from the initial greeting and also once their appointment is completed. What’s most important to me is treating each person with the dignity and care they deserve. And from where I sit, we’re doing a great job with that!
