Holtkamp Heating & Air Sponsors Good Taste Atlanta Show with Food Drive and Special Kneads Booth to Raise Awareness about Non-Profit Bakery

Holtkamp Heating & Air sponsored the Good Taste Atlanta show on Thursday, October 19th at the Infinite Energy Center and championed two important causes to provide much needed support to our community.

First, attendees were encouraged to bring canned goods for donation to the Salvation Army. Almost half a ton of food was collected and will be immediately distributed to local families in need.

The Holtkamps also sponsored a Special Kneads & Treats Bakery booth at the show and provided hundreds of free Carrot Cake, Red Velvet and German Chocolate cupcakes for attendees. Booth visitors also got a chance to meet some of the workers who lovingly craft cupcakes, cakes and more at this non-profit bakery in Lawrenceville which provides meaningful employment for special needs adults. Vouchers for $10 of free baked goods at the bakery were also handed out to each visitor, courtesy of Holtkamp Heating & Air.

“Food is something that brings people together, and this event was the ideal chance to creatively make new connections around food in ways that positively impact our community,” said Matthew Holtkamp, owner of Holtkamp Heating & Air.

“Not only did we highlight the issue of hunger in our community through the donated cans of food, but we also raised awareness about Special Kneads & Treats and their mission. They touch so many lives with donated cakes, from foster kids to senior citizens. I’m committed to getting as many people to visit the bakery as possible because their growth means more employment opportunities for the waiting list of 150+ special needs adults. They each deserve a chance at meaningful work, and every new customer I can help create will open new doors for the deserving folks on that waiting list.”

Holtkamp Heating & Air has provided residents of Gwinnett County and surrounding areas with superior comfort and high-quality customer service for over 20 years. Owners Matthew and Suzanne Holtkamp also have a strong, longstanding commitment to good causes throughout Gwinnett County.
