Iron Accents opens new location in downtown Lawrenceville

IronAccents.com was established in 1999 by Valerie and Mark Kirves. The family owned and operated company began as small online operation that specialized in wrought iron brackets and wall plaques. Over the years, the company has maintained its family operation and honest approach, but the product line has expanded to include all types of home & tabletop décor, garden accents and furniture.

As the product line expanded, so did the need for space, which led to the opening of the first retail store for Iron Accents in 2004 in Clermont Ga. In November of last year, Ms. Kirves’ daughter, Larissa Benson purchased a historic home in downtown Lawrenceville.

Benson renovated the 100 year old home and briefly considered renting the space, but because of her love and commitment to the Lawrenceville community, Benson decided to join in the downtown rejuvenation and make this historic Lawrenceville home a storefront for the next location of Iron Accents. The store is filled with several themed rooms that offer a variety of timeless and quality pieces – kitchen, garden, mud room, sunroom, living room, etc. Quality and craftsmanship are very important to the owners of Iron Accents. Each item has a story and a reason that it was selected for our store. Our lotions are made in Georgia and were created for burn victims.

Our candles are soy and are in functional, reusable containers. Our serving ware isn’t just attractive, it’s handmade of heavy cast ceramic and highlighted with intricate metal touches, etc. Iron Accents Lawrenceville is a new store, but the products inside are the same quality products one would expect from Iron Accents in Clermont, with one improvement, TOYS! As a working mother of two, Benson is constantly on the go. While there are several big box stores in the area that you can find gifts and toys at, there is something to be said about going into a small locally owned and operated store where your child can wonder around a room and pick out a unique, quality toy for themselves or a birthday party.

You can be in and out in 15 minutes with a wrapped gift for your child or another, and know what you purchased is not only unique, but was hand selected for the store by a mother. The toy section of the store is called Peaka-boo-tique Toys. Iron Accents Lawrenceville opened its doors on March 29th at 135 E Pike Street across from the Aurora Theater and had its GRAND OPENING on May 17th.
