Miss Christina Carolyn Iverson and Mr. Timothy Keller Rhodes both of Atlanta, Georgia were united in marriage on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Morningside Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Reverend J. Stephen Robertson of Guadalajara, Mexico, cousin of the bride, officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at The Georgian Terrace in Atlanta, Georgia.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Iverson of Snellville, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Zoja Strader and the late Mr. Rodman Strader of Augusta, Georgia and the late Reverend and Mrs. Ned Iverson of Augusta, Georgia. Christina is a graduate of South Gwinnett High School and a summa cum laude graduate of The University of Georgia. She is employed by the Gwinnett County Public Schools system as a kindergarten teacher. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rhodes of Ellijay, Georgia. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Keller of Lawrenceville, Georgia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leland Rhodes of Watertown, South Dakota. Tim is a graduate of Gilmer County High School and a magna cum laude graduate of The University of Georgia. He is employed by The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. 

Mrs. Allison Reagan Bisel of Loganville, Georgia, Mrs. Kelly Hammond Herrington of Allentown, Georgia, and Mrs. Amy Johnson Tippins of Suwanee, Georgia served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Keri Elizabeth Janton of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Mrs. Kelly Mitchell of Atlanta, Georgia, and Miss Bethany Carol Rhodes of Kennesaw, Georgia, sister of the groom. Program attendants were Ms. Whitney Nicole Cowart, Miss Preethi Joshua, and Mrs. Grace Choi Rhodes, sister-in-law of the groom, all of Atlanta, Georgia.

The groom’s best man was Mr. Matthew John Rhodes, brother of the groom, of Atlanta, Georgia. Groomsmen were Mr. Parker Lane Bailey of Smyrna, Georgia, Mr. James Peter Hayes II of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. John Culver Iverson, Jr. brother of the bride, of Gainesville, Florida, Mr. Jason Paul Minner of Lexington, Kentucky, and Mr. Jared Michael Young of Atlanta, Georgia. 

Prelude and wedding music was performed by The Candler String Quartet and pianist Mrs. Linda Christian. Soloist Mr. Sam Hagan of Atlanta, Georgia performed “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Spirit of the Living God” which was composed by the bride’s great grandfather, The Reverend Daniel Iverson, in 1926. Scripture reader was Mrs. Elizabeth Hancock, aunt of the bride, of Augusta, Georgia.

After a honeymoon in Scrub Island and St. Thomas, the couple resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
