Girl Scouts Forever Green (GSFG) is a global effort to improve the environment and protect natural resources. Join us for a fun morning of crafts, games and activities celebrating our planet. A small snack will be provided. This event is free and open to all girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade. All participants will receive the “Think Green” patch.
Not a Girl Scout? No problem! This is the perfect time to meet the staff, sign up and learn more about the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) – what girls do in Girl Scouts. Information and registration on how to join Girl Scouts will be available that day. Girl Scout registration fee is $15 and financial assistance is available. Find out how Girl Scouts develops and builds girls of courage, confidence and character. All current Girl Scouts must bring a non-Girl Scout friend to attend this event.
Come see how you can become a Girl Scout and be forever green. For more information visit our website at: http://www.gshg.org or find us on Facebook!
•If 3 million Girl Scouts each plant a rain garden, the water saved would amount to 11.4 billion gallons.
•If 3 million Girl Scouts each participate in Earth Hour and replace an incandescent light bulb with an ENERGY STAR® qualified light bulb, we’ll save 1 billion kWh of energy, equivalent to the annual CO2 emissions from 150,000 cars.
•If 3 million Girl Scouts switch to using reusable bags and bottles and recycling their aluminum cans, 4.2 billion pounds of waste will be saved over the girls’ lifetime.
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is the premier leadership development organization for girls and serves over 14,000 girls and 6,000 adults in 122 counties in Georgia, two counties in South Carolina and Russell County in Alabama.
