Kimberly Goodloe – American Heart Ambassador

2013 Metro Atlanta Heart Walk

Kimberly Goodloe underwent open heart surgery and placement of a pacemaker in 2009.

Q: Why were these experiences instrumental in your work as an American Heart Ambassador?

Kimberly Goodloe

Kimberly says the open heart & two pace maker surgeries put me on an emotional roller coaster. “I felt a strong need to help others going through similar experiences. I had to give back in some way.”

Q: What are the responsibilities of an American Heart Association Ambassador?

In 2010, Kimberly became an American Heart Association Ambassador. “I speak throughout our community on the importance of heart health. I stress the importance of being proactive and being educated about personal health issues and taking ownership of them.”

An upcoming event supporting funding for heart/stroke research is Saturday, October 12th, 2013. Join the Metro Atlanta 5K Heart Walk from 8 am until 9 am. “I’m walking as a tribute for every woman, man & child affected by heart/stroke disease,” says Kimberly.
