Lilburn Woman’s Club Hosts local Garden Tour – May 9

Sneak a peek behind your neighbor’s garden gate
Back by popular demand, 'Behind the Garden Gate' tour of Lilburn area gardens is returning again this year on Saturday, May 9th, from 9am - 3pm.

This year’s tour, presented by the GFWC Lilburn Woman’s Club offers up a chance to visit several unique and inspiring destination spots including a Secret Garden, The River House high on a bluff over-looking the Yellow River, a Japanese-style garden featuring over 23 varieties of Japanese maple trees, a cozy Bistro retreat, and the historic Lanford Farmhouse built in the early 1900’s.

Another don’t miss destination is Aaron’s Memorial Rock Garden, built by his mother, Marcia, in honor of her son, Aaron Kincaid, who was the first U.S. military casualty in Iraq.

Local musicians and artists will be sprinkled throughout the various locations for a truly magical experience.

Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased online in advance through our website at www.lilburnwomansclub.org or the day of the tour at 818 Tom Smith Road, Lilburn, GA.

Proceeds from this event help fund local scholarships, beautification projects, health and safety projects, local libraries, after-school educational events, veteran’s needs, women’s and children’s shelters and so much more!

Visit their website to learn more about the incredible things that LWC members do for the community. Follow us on Facebook at ‘Behind the Garden Gate’ for sneak peeks into this year’s tour.
