Dog Days are periods of hot sticky, uncomfortable summer weather which occur between July and late August. Exactly how and when they occur and how long they last varies somewhat from year to year. The ancient Greeks gave dog days their name because the time of year occurs about the same time that the dog star Sirius rises with the sun.

Dog days are all year for these lucky pooches.

– Belle lives in Dacula with Lynn and Bill Long

– Riley, a service dog lives with Pat Kozak in Lawrenceville

– Nola a Shepherd mix lives with John Kearns in Lawrenceville.
